I
Spent summer weekends working with Faceless on 'Conference of
the Birds', an old Sufi story about a group of birds that go
searching to find their bird God utopia that they know must
exist. I helped with the initial research and development of
the stage and props last year and they asked me if I would like
to be involved as an 'live' illustrator with the performance
this year.
The
performance involves live actors, puppets and community participants.
My involvement 'on stage' was to draw scenery and give visual
clues to what was happening within the narrative by drawing
onto large paper screens with markers and spray paints.
