'Harry
Potter' with the
Clifton Partnership and schools
in Rotherham | 2006/07/08 |
I have worked with the Clifton Partnership in Rotherham for the
last three years, as the illustrator on their 'Harry Potter' project,
working with children in their last term of Year 6. The sessions
involved showing the children my recent published work and talking
about life as an illustrator. We then moved on to how they can draw
their versions of the Harry Potter characters, with their own unique
characteristics. Techniques demonstrated included creating and using
'thumb nail' idea sheets, drawing with blue pencil, proportions
of a 'human' face, character characteristics and 'inking' the drawing
with black lines. |
